Research involved over 6,000 children (across the UK), and 61% selected ‘kindness’ as their favourite word. This shows that young people are deeply aware of the importance of empathy and positive actions, especially in times of uncertainty. Teachers also highlighted how kindness plays a key role in children’s mental well-being, demonstrating that this generation values emotional connection and support.
